Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals concise easy-to-master techniques for the at-home cook in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell also has worked in several of the city's most prestigious restaurants, has studied Italian food, its culture and traditions and has participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. After earning an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the restaurant business by enrolling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she states. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian culture and cuisine while in Italy, which has influenced her cooking style. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. She travels frequently around the nation in her capacity in the capacity of mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel so lucky to be able to share my passion for life with people.
